Not sure what your body type is? Check out our
Body Type Diagram.

This week we will be focusing on a
rectangular figure
or straight figure.
While this body type is very sought after it
actually is difficult to dress at times.

Let's begin!

There are many positive aspects about being a Rectangular
body type. You share the spotlight with some
really beautiful women. Some you may recognize are:
Cameron Diaz, Nicole Kidman,Hilary Duff
 Cheryl Crow and Rachel Hunter

At Whimsy we cater to every body shape.
When dressing your rectangular body there
are several easy tricks to adding some curves
just where you want them.

Our own lovely Karen is showing
the benefit of wearing a longer
A-Line skirt. Rectangular body types
can look lovely in longer skirts
thanks to your long legs. Add
some definition at the waist with a top
that cinches at the waistline and is
broader at the top. This gives the illusion
of a much more curvy figure...

Necklines to look for are scoop or v-neck; the waist should be fitted as seen in this Whimsy dress.
If you have a small bust, ruffles at the bust
add more dimension to the shape.

Top tips to remember:

1. Create a more dramatic waistline with
a cinched waisted dress, a wide belt or a low
belt.

2. Increase your curves visually with a fuller
skirt or dress. Avoid wide legged pants.

3. If your are more flat chested be sure
to choose tops with gathered or cross-over
shapes to add volume.

4. Enjoy your beautiful shape!
You have a very envious body type.
Dress is properly and you will feel
fantastic.
